Die Casting Machine

Die Casting Machine (Die Casting Machine) is a kind of mechanical equipment used to inject metal liquid (such as aluminum, zinc, magnesium, copper and other alloys) into a precision mold, which is rapidly cooled and solidified under high pressure to form the required parts. Die casting technology is a highly efficient metal molding process, widely used in automotive, electronics, aerospace, home appliances, lamps, construction and other industries, for the manufacture of complex shapes, high precision metal parts.

The main types of die-casting machine

According to different working methods, die casting principle and application requirements, die casting machine can be divided into the following main types:

1. Cold Chamber Die Casting Machine (Cold Chamber Die Casting Machine)

  • Working principle: cold chamber die casting machine for higher melting point metal (such as aluminum alloy, copper alloy, etc.). The metal liquid is heated by an external furnace, after which the liquid metal is poured into the pressure chamber of the die casting machine by a mechanical arm, and then injected into the mold under the high pressure of the die casting machine.
  • Characteristics: suitable for injecting high melting point metal, slow cooling speed, suitable for manufacturing aluminum alloy and copper alloy parts.
  • Application: commonly used in aluminum alloy, copper alloy die casting, widely used in automobile parts, electronic products shell, etc..

2. hot chamber die casting machine (Hot Chamber Die Casting Machine)

  • Working principle: hot chamber die casting machine is suitable for lower melting point metal (such as zinc, lead, magnesium alloy, etc.). The liquid metal is stored in the heating furnace inside the die casting machine, and the liquid metal is injected directly into the mold through the injection system of the die casting machine. Because the liquid metal is connected to the heating furnace, the metal with lower melting point can be continuously kept in liquid state.
  • Features: simple structure, fast injection speed, high production efficiency, suitable for low melting point metal die casting.
  • Application: commonly used in zinc alloy, magnesium alloy, lead alloy and other metal die casting, widely used in electronic parts, lamps, automobile small parts.

3. low pressure die casting machine (Low Pressure Die Casting Machine)

  • Working principle: low pressure die casting machine through low pressure (usually a few megapascals) will metal liquid injection mold. Compared with the traditional high-pressure injection, low-pressure die casting pressure is smaller, suitable for parts that require more delicate molding.
  • Characteristics: Suitable for larger and thinner castings, it can reduce the porosity of the casting, reduce residual stress and improve the fluidity of the metal.
  • Application: commonly used in aluminum alloy, copper alloy large parts, such as automobile wheel rims, engine mounts, etc..

4. Vacuum die casting machine (Vacuum Die Casting Machine)

  • Working principle: vacuum die casting machine using the vacuum environment to reduce the resistance of the gas, so that the liquid metal can flow more evenly into the mold, reduce bubbles and defects.
  • Characteristics: through the establishment of a vacuum environment in the mold, can significantly improve the density and strength of the casting, especially for high-precision, high-quality castings.
  • Applications: Widely used in high-end manufacturing fields such as aerospace, precision electronics and automotive industry.

Application areas of die casting machine

Die casting machine is widely used in industries that require a large number of, high-precision metal parts production, including:

  • Automotive industry: for the production of a variety of automotive parts, such as engine cover, wheels, gearbox shells, brake system parts, etc..

  • Electronics: for the manufacture of cell phone cases, computer housings, battery housings, radiators and other high-precision electronic parts.

  • Aerospace: aerospace industry has strict requirements for high strength and precision parts, die casting machine can be used to manufacture engine parts, fuselage components, etc..

  • Home appliance industry: for the production of home appliance shell, motor parts, lamps and lanterns accessories.

  • Construction and other industries: for the manufacture of doors and windows accessories, metal decorative parts, lamps and lanterns parts.
